The Laughter Never Stops

After years of covering the intersection of sports and politics for mainstream outlets like The Guardian and The New York Times, investigative reporter Karim Zidan is launching his own newsletter.

Not since the incident. Sometimes silent, sometimes booming. We wake up laughing. We sleep laughing. We eat laughing, and we even fuck laughing. And when we meet in public, we laugh together until our sides ache and tears stream from our eyes and we wonder if we are crying from laughter or from misery. There are times when we forget to laugh and those times are hardest. The silent memories, the lost ambitions, the fallen friends; we remember them only when we forget. That is how we live. We laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

Or else we lose our way.
